Ingredients

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
  3. Cream softened butter and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture; mix gently until just combined.
  6. Chill dough for 30 minutes if desired for easier handling.
  7. Roll out dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut into shapes using cookie cutters.
  8. Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 8–10 minutes until golden around the edges.
  9. Cool completely before decorating with icing or sprinkles.
