Instructions

  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just mixed.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips (and sprinkles if desired).
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized dough onto prepared sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges set; centers should remain soft.
  9. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
