Description

Smoked Sausage and Potatoes is a delightful one-pan meal featuring smoky sausage and tender potatoes, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or family gathering.

Ingredients

  • Smoked sausage (kielbasa recommended)
  • Yukon Gold or red potatoes
  • Onion
  • Bell peppers
  • Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Seasoning mix (salt, pepper, paprika)

Instructions

  1. Chop the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces. Dice the potatoes, slice the bell peppers, and finely chop the onion.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the smoked sausage and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the chopped onions and bell peppers, cooking until the onions are translucent (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add the diced potatoes and seasoning mix; stir well to combine. Cover and steam for about 15 minutes.
  5. Uncover, allowing excess steam to escape, and continue cooking until the potatoes are fork-tender and slightly crispy (another 10 minutes).
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
