Creamy Smothered Chicken and Rice is a soul-warming dish featuring tender chicken enveloped in a rich sauce, served over fluffy rice. Perfect for cozy family dinners or weeknight meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Arrange them in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, sauté minced garlic in heavy cream until fragrant. Stir in chicken broth and simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Pour the creamy sauce over the seasoned chicken. Cover with foil and bake for about 25 minutes or until cooked through.
