- 8 oz lasagna noodles (broken into pieces)
- 2 cups fresh mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage until cooked through. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 3-4 minutes).
- Transfer the meat mixture to your crockpot. Pour in crushed tomatoes and beef broth; stir to combine.
- Sprinkle in Italian seasoning along with salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Break lasagna noodles into manageable pieces and add them on top of the soup mixture, stirring gently.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 6 hours or high for 3 hours until flavors meld together.
- Just before serving, stir in shredded mozzarella cheese until melted. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
