  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  3. Fold in flour and optional chocolate chips until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until creamy.
  5. Pour half the brownie batter into the pan, spread the cheesecake layer on top, then dollop remaining brownie batter for a marbled effect.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
