- 8 slices fresh rye bread
- 1 lb corned beef, sliced
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
- Layer the bottom of the baking dish with 4 slices of rye bread.
- Add half of the corned beef on top of the bread, followed by half of the sauerkraut and half of the Swiss cheese.
- Repeat layering with remaining ingredients: corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.
- Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the top layer and finish with the remaining 4 slices of rye bread.
- Brush melted butter over the top layer of bread.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
