Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp white miso paste
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (divided)
  • 3 scallions, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

Instructions

  1. Pat dry the salmon fillets with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, mix miso paste, softened butter, and soy sauce until smooth.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until crispy; flip.
  4. Spoon miso butter over the fillets and let it melt.
  5. In another pan, heat remaining olive oil and sauté scallions until sizzled and softened.
  6. Drizzle fresh lemon juice over everything before serving.
