Description

Peanut Butter Cheerio Bars are a deliciously simple treat that combines the nutty goodness of peanut butter with the satisfying crunch of Cheerios. Ingredients

  • 3 cups crispy Cheerios
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt together the peanut butter and honey until smooth, stirring continuously.
  3. Remove from heat and quickly mix in the Cheerios until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, pressing down firmly into an even layer.
  5. If using, sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top and gently press them in.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until set before cutting into squares.
