  • 8 cups stale bread cubes (about 1 loaf)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh thyme, chopped

  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add onions and celery; sauté until soft (5-7 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, combine stale bread cubes with sautéed vegetables and fresh herbs.
  4. Gradually pour in chicken broth until bread is moistened but not soggy. Fold in beaten eggs.
