 - Gradually fold the wet ingredients into the dry mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
 - Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
 - Drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
 - Remove and drain on paper towels, then dust with powdered sugar while warm.
