Description

Mummy Pretzels are a fun and festive Halloween snack that combines salty crunch and soft dough into adorable little treats.   • 1 batch pretzel dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips or candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pretzel dough on a floured surface until about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Cut strips of dough approximately 1/2 inch wide. Wrap each strip around the pretzel, leaving gaps for eyes.
  4. Mix the beaten egg with a splash of water to make an egg wash; brush over the wrapped pretzels.
  5. Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Add chocolate chips or candy eyes while warm. Serve immediately.
