  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups white icing or fondant
  • Chocolate chips or candy eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until fluffy (3-4 minutes).
  4. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet about two inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool completely.
  8. Decorate each cookie with white icing or fondant to resemble mummies and add chocolate eyes.
