Instructions

  1. Cook elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.

  3. Gradually add milk while whisking constantly until combined. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  4. Mix the drained pasta into the cheese sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour mac and cheese into a greased baking dish and top with breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
