Instructions

  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add dry ingredients alternating with milk, mixing gently until just combined. Add pink food coloring as desired.
  4. Spoon batter into prepared cupcake liners about two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool on wire racks.
  5. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth; gradually mix in heavy cream until soft peaks form. Frost cooled cupcakes.
