  • Optional spices (e.g., 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 teaspoon peppercorns)

Instructions

  1. Wash and sterilize jars by boiling them or running them through the dishwasher.
  2. Slice cucumbers into spears or rounds for even pickling.
  3. In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt over medium heat until dissolved. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add smashed garlic cloves and dill to the warm brine and let sit for five minutes.
  5. Pack cucumber slices into sterilized jars and pour hot brine over them until fully submerged, leaving some space at the top.
